Naras Villas

Located on the lush hillsides of Tonekabon in northern Iran, this contemporary residential villa is thoughtfully integrated into its natural landscape. Surrounded by dense greenery and overlooking expansive views, the project embraces the topography to create a seamless dialogue between architecture and nature. The design is defined by a composition of stacked stone volumes and cantilevered glass boxes that extend outward toward the scenery. These projecting forms maximize panoramic views while creating shaded terraces and outdoor living spaces. The use of natural stone anchors the building to the hillside, reflecting the region’s material character, while expansive glass façades dissolve the boundary between interior and exterior. The villa is organized across multiple levels, carefully following the natural slope of the site. This terraced arrangement minimizes land disruption and allows each floor to benefit from unobstructed views and direct access to outdoor areas. Large floor to ceiling windows invite abundant daylight into the interior spaces and frame the surrounding forest as a living backdrop. Material contrast plays a central role in the architectural expression: warm stone surfaces convey solidity and permanence, while slim metal frames and transparent glazing introduce lightness and modernity. Generous balconies and roof terraces enhance the experience of outdoor living, responding to the mild and humid climate of the Caspian region.

This project embodies a balance between contemporary design and environmental sensitivity offering privacy, comfort, and a strong architectural identity rooted in its natural context.
